Brainwyrms is Alison Rumfitt’s second full-length novel after Tell Me I’m Worthless ( which I consider to be in the top 3 most powerful horror novels I have every read ).  Brainwyrms is a wild and vile ride through fascism, transphobia, and internalized bigotry that does not worry about creating an easy picture for you. You will find no pure-of-heart heroines, no knights in shining armor of any gender, and no innocent lambs lead to slaughter. Brainwyrms only concerns itself with creating a world that tells a deeper truth by completely disregarding reality and literary convention. A writhing orgy or love, hate, sex, violence, acceptance and oppresion. Not for everyone.
