S. by Doug Dorst; Concept by J.J. Abrams ( hardback )

S. by Doug Dorst is one of the most brilliant literary artifacts you will come across. Once you remove the book jacket ( that is more like a presentational box ) you are met not with a book titled S. by Doug Dorst, but by the fictional ( disregard the fact that you are currently holding it ) book The Ship of Theseus by V.M. Straka ( complete with a Dewey Decimal number ). Within this “fictional” book you will find marginalia, little messages lest between our supposed protagonists, and a smattering of artifacts ( everything from printed out newspaper articles to working cryptogram decoders ). This is a concept withing a concept within a concept.
